There are many different window cleaning services that you can offer to customers, but before you add too many lets choose the most important ones first. Obviously cleaning windows inside and out should be your number one priority, after all this is a window cleaning business. Unless of course you are going to give out a line of credit and become a window cleaning bank, go bankrupt, screw up the economy and the stock market and ask the government for a bailout! We’ll save that bedtime story for another day.

So window cleaning first, I know from my San Diego Window Cleaning Business that sometimes people only want the outside cleaned, I guess they are trying to save money or perhaps they don’t think the inside is that dirty. Usually people who only want the outside cleaned will tell me that they can do the inside themselves. Of course they never do a very good job and they always streak the windows up, but no matter it’s their money they can spend it how they like. Interestingly enough, many times the inside of the windows can be just as dirty if not dirtier then the outside, you clean the outside and the windows still look dirty. This is when you remind the customer that the inside is still dirty in hopes that they will change their mind and have you do the inside too!

When a customer only wants the outside I charge 70% of a regular window cleaning of inside and out since most of the dirt is outside and you still have to clean the screens and use the ladder. The inside is usually the easiest part of the window cleaning job which I call the “Victory Lap” because by this point you are close to being finish. The only time when the inside is hard is if they have tracks that are caked with dirt and junk or if they have tint on the windows whose dogs have slobbered all over them or worse all of the above. For the most part the inside is pretty clean but there is dust and finger prints on the glass. You want to be sure that you do a top notch job on any windows in the kitchen and especially in front of the kitchen sink, this is always one of the dirtiest windows. The next dirtiest is usually the sliding glass door. Although garage windows are actually the worst but most people don’t want the garage windows cleaned.
