I’ve finally picked my bedding (it’s green/white) and have a few questions about the accent wall. I was thinking it would be the same green as the bedding with the rest of the walls beige. Should I do it on the wall the beds against or would that be overkill. I was also thinking of doing it on the wall that has the window but I’m not sure if that would look weird or make the bed look out of place. I can’t have the bed against the window since I have a little one who’s always jumping on the bed. Here’s a link of the bedding:
My mother in law insists that she is going to strike it rich by using her new found feng shui techniques. She bought mirrors, bamboo plants, rugs, picture frames, a buddah lightning globe thing, and all this other crap to enhance her feng shui. Her house is so dirty, you HAVE to wear shoes in it. Her cat pees and poops on their beds, and she doesn’t wash their sheets, most of the time, they sleep without sheets on their bed. She also never washes their laundry and they wear dirty clothes. They (her 8 and 9 year old kids )pee the bed and don’t tell anyone so it goes uncleaned. They haven’t cleaned their bathroom since I cleaned it last, 4 weeks ago. Now, how can feng shui work in a house like that? She manages to spend all of her money as soon as it comes in. I guess she’s happy with the results, but she keeps buying more "Feng shui" items. What do you think?
My mother in law only likes feng shui because of friend of hers from work claims she got a business proposal after fixing up her house. My MIL also visited my house on many occasions and my husband pointed out that I used concepts of feng shui in the decorating process. It just peevs me that she is so ignorant and believes that she can have prosperity in a house that has food, dirt, and who knows what else shoved under the couch and cat pee sprayed about on every single wall in all the rooms. I’m actually offended that she thinks feng shui is just that…. her and my beliefs are way different… and I guess she’s entitled to her own opinion, it just bothers me that she is so ignorant!
I hate feeling like she wants to compete with me because I know she is so totally wrong.
